Within the state, there are two Major League Baseball teams, two in the National Hockey League, one in the National Basketball Association, one in Major League Soccer and two National Football League teams. Social Responsibility Matters
We have faith in human potential at adidas and we’re serious about our social responsibilities. But making changes that matter takes time—this is a marathon, not a sprint. When you’re on the Wilkes-Barre team, you will have lots of opportunities to take part in what we’re doing. One of our plans is to work with agencies helping displaced women and children, at-risk youth and victims of domestic violence. We also plan to support community projects run by colleges, high schools and elementary schools. On a wider level, there are chances to participate in some of our high-profile programs. These include the adidas fund and Parley for the Oceans, which involves using plastic removed from the ocean to make adidas footwear.
