Sport needs a space
»As a leading global sports brand, adidas Korea is committed to contributing positive changes through sports in Korean society, taking our core belief “through sport, we have the power to change lives« breathed into our lives and into our communities.
Since 2013, adidas Korea has been running »adidas midream foundation Class« to drive positive social changes by connecting underprivileged children with professional sport coaches together with our sport marketing assets and partners, as well as volunteers of employees and sales accounts, whom we call Dream Coaches and Dream Supporters. They teach life values such as self-confidence, respect and teamwork that can break down barriers and allow children to live healthier and happier lives through sport. Furthermore, to act as the guardian of the spaces of sport, we initiated a new project collaborating with Seoul City to repair and renovate the existing old sport facilities and to create a new sport space for the public.
Collaborating with those who inspire us
We embedded collaboration deeply into our strategy. We invited our partners from the worlds of industry, sport and entertainment to create the new together. We call it »Open Source«. Examples are our partnership with BASF in the development of the BOOST midsole technology, our unique collaboration with Kanye West, and our sustainability initiative with »Parley for the Oceans«. These partnerships have been exceptionally successful and generating enormous brand heat across the world. Our door is open to those who always seek the new and ready to change the game.
