Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • DRIVE assortment plan creation across BU, Wholesale Channel, and Market to ensure brand and channel KPI achievement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create the Specific Channel Assortment plan from the APAC MERCH Team’s range within the Channel RA framework using historical data, market trends, competitor intel, global strategy that best meets the needs across the market
  • Secure the business through relentless analysis of the Top Sellers by market, channel, country, division, gender, product type on a monthly basis and ensure like for like product is in every assortment plan
  • Be the key point of contact for relevant CTC Country contact to receive country/channel/customer feedback and intel
  • Responsible to ensure Key Account needs are met, working closely with country/cluster CTC and APAC Sales teams
  • Provide regular & key milestone input to APAC MERCH Team & APAC BM Team to ensure market and country needs are reflected
  • Lead the communication with relevant CTC Country contact to download assortment plan
  • Work across categories to pick the optimal range for the consumer, considering best product and stories for specific channel as the #1 priority
  • Fully understand pricing across market and support price harmonization
  • Play a lead role (depending on the milestone) in seasonal and quarterly country brand and channel handover milestones to ensure assortment plan and strategy is fully understood

  • Efficiency KPIs (overlap, hit rate, …)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to implement strategy
  • Strong presentation/communication, negotiation and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders within a global matrix organization.
  • Distinct track record of success and high-level Merchandising knowledge
  • Strong cross-functional and stakeholder management experience across commercial functions (e.g. marketing, sales, etc.) and support functions (finance preferred), as well as different organizational levels (Global, Market, etc.)
  • Strong industry knowledge, across divisions—footwear, apparel and accessories—and across all BUs.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6-8 years of experience in merchandising/product, marketing, sales/retail required. Regional experience preferred.
  • University degree in Business or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing, MBA preferred
  • Previous experience in managing a global matrix organization required
  • Sporting goods industry experience required
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in local language (if applicable) preferred
