Business Consultant

Responsible for delivering and executing Manhattan WMS projects successfully. Provide in-house project implementation services for all phases of the project life cycle, including design, configuration, testing and cut-over. <

DUTIES:  <

Partner with business community to help drive business decisions and re-engineer business processes, taking a complex abstract level need as described by Subject Matter Specialists and breaking it down to the individual requirements that would aggregate to fulfill that need. <

Participate in new process implementation activities. Translate business requirements into internal and/or external design documentation. <

Work closely with vendors to review functional and design requirements and to obtain project cost estimates. <

Confirm system requirements, draft clear and concise specifications and documentation. <

Leverage functionality of WMS application to satisfy requirements from multiple business units and to facilitate business process improvement and innovation. <

Assist in the development of process and functional scripts in preparation for Integration and User Acceptance Testing.

Provide functional and technical system support to the user community.

Develop and execute test scenarios required to verify system enhancements and new business application modules/releases. <

Provide input into future Functionality, Implementation Methodology and Customization Standards. <

Drive issue resolution and escalating when appropriate.<

REQUIREMENTS:           <

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in an Engineering field of study, and seven (7) years of experience in a related occupation. Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Manhattan Associates Open Systems-WMS platform version; Distribution and Logistics business processes with expert knowledge of WMS enabled process design; relational databases Oracle, DB2, SQL, and Crystal Reports; and experience implementing design changes in an Automated Distribution Center with Sorters, Conveyors, and Voice processes.<
