Purpose

Horizontally leads and steers Commercial and Brand success through the understanding of Market realities across BU and Channels. Lead planning and deploying the BU’s product offer across markets, retail/consumer experience, brand ‘look and feel’ and activations.

Key Accountabilities

  • Omni-Channel Marketing - Lead and own the development and delivery of a globally consistent Omni-channel Brand calendar, incorporating inputs from Markets and relevant experts
  • Key Concept Readiness - Drive the end-to-end CtC/GTM process to secure holistic concept readiness. Orchestrate x-functional collaboration and execution across BU to secure holistic readiness for key milestones; enable successful sell-in/sell-out of BU key concepts according to BU objectives/targets
  • Range Architecture – Defines BU Range Architecture framework to meet the BU strategic objectives and lead the delivery of efficient range planning, creation, and merchandising across the BU, segments and channels
  • Merchandising – Provides world class merchandising leadership and guidelines to deliver true ‘Global Brand Footprint’ across all markets/channels. Drive the process from space/channel-led Range Architecture framework to delivering segmented floor-ready merchandising modules with visual merchandising solutions
  • Distribution - Manage distribution strategy across BU, including customer/range segmentation, launch timing / roll-out, market volume allocations
  • Retail Concepts – Drive the creation and implementation of world class presentation and consumer experience (Own Retail and Wholesale) using the DNA created by Brand Design and balancing brand image with P&L objectives
  • Ecom – Drive the creation and implementation of world class presentation and consumer experience using the DNA created by Brand Design
  • Global Sales – Lead the overall strategic sales direction. Manage and co-ordinate Global sales launch events/sell-ins. Drive consistency across the function, ie distribution, trade terms, showrooms
  • Functionally lead business conversations with respective Market teams (Market Brand Directors, Market BU, CtC teams). Communicate underlying BU rationale back to markets and drive implementation in all markets/channels
  • Build and lead a highly motivated, confident, collaborative and creative workforce and provide the platform for long-term, (cross)-functional careers
  • "Act as a role model in compliance with the relevant laws and regulations as well as the adidas Fair Play Code of Conduct and other internal policies”

   Qualifications  

  1. University degree or equivalent education required
  2. At least 12 years of progressive experience at senior management level
  3. At least 7 years leadership of diverse and global teams in a matrix organization
  4. Proven track record in Marketing
  5. 8 years working with global markets
