Supply Chain Reporting Analyst

Purpose:

Support the reporting needs of North American Supply Chain Management (NAM SCM) by:

  • Managing and distributing regular, reliable reports in formats and frequencies required for operations and the business at large,
  • Provide data transparency in the most automated and efficient way to support decision-making within the NAM SCM operational team and its stakeholders, and
  • Work with business and operational stakeholders to create effective reporting tools that facilitate expert control of the supply chain.

The role ensures NAM SCM has visibility into key performance drivers to ensure relevant planning, purchasing, and order fulfillment decisions are made with the best, most up-to-date understanding of potential business and KPI impacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate, develop, and maintain KPIs for NAM SCM
  • Sustain the continuity of reports being generated within the department
  • Assist in development of new operational and management reports for SCM functions and the department as a whole
  • Help form the reporting landscape and network within NAM SCM
  • Ensure reports are published on time
  • Act as a departmental reporting expert, providing support and training to ensure that skills and capabilities are transferred to others
  • Vet and test new reporting tools and new releases of existing reporting tools
  • Challenge the current reporting structure and identify areas of improvement
  • Support specific projects undertaken within the department through data gathering, analysis, report development, presentations and recommendations
  • Develop understanding of interdependencies between systems, datasets, and processes
  • Use reporting as a tool to drive change within supply chain  Key Relationships: 
    • NAM Purchasing, Order Fulfillment, Distribution and Logistics, Customer Service teams

    • Group Functions Finance
    • NAM Finance Reporting  Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
    • Supply Chain / Logistics / Management Science background
    • Process thinking and excellent analytical skills
    • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • Ability to manage and participate in complex global and regional projects as assigned
  • Ability to anticipate problems and offer solutions within the reporting team
    • Ability to challenge the way in which things are done
    • Strong communication skills
  • Strong team player with proven ability to work cross-functionally to achieve objectives
  • Effectively communicate complex data and solutions at all levels of the organization
  • Affinity for visualizing complex data in a simple and actionable manner  Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: 
  • Four-year degree from college or university required with emphasis in supply chain management, logistics, or management science preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years related progressive work experience and/or training
    • Advanced report usage and development in MicroStrategy
    • Advanced SQL skills
    • Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, power queries, macros)
    • Experience with Tableau, ThinkCell, and other visualization tools
    • Knowledge of R or python and willingness to learn more
    • Understanding of data mining, machine learning, and advanced analytics a plus
    • Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
