Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organisation:

Oversee Regional mobility programme and provide expertise and support to HR Management within Region APAC on matters relating to International and, where required, domestic Mobility. Work closely with Rewards Cross-Border Employment teams in other GEOs in the design and alignment of global standards, policies and processes.  Manage the application of global standards in GEO APAC under consideration of regional/local mobility needs.  Act as a strategic partner to the business in planning and execution of International Assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultancy, training and advice to HRMs on topics relating to international and domestic Mobility in APAC
  • Oversee consistent application of International Mobility standards, policies and processes
  • Act as central point of contact and coordination for questions on mobility process and compliance matters relating to cross-border tax, social security and immigration
  • Participate as a member of the International Mobility community in projects needed to advance the international mobility programme and to ensure global consistency
  • Work with HRMs for the determination of appropriate compensation and mobility benefits for international employees transferring into and within Region APAC
  • Implement and communicate regulations and new policy components to various stakeholders and monitor adherence
  • Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost effectiveness of service provision for tax services, immigration, security/risk, relocation, shipping etc.  for international employees in Region APAC with the support of the International Mobility community
  • Oversee appropriate tax handling and reporting of international employee pay and benefits in partnership with Payroll Services and tax services provider
  • Oversee administration, invoicing, billing and recharging of costs for mobility benefits in Region APAC
  • Manage personnel information databases and tracking for international employees, relevant assignment information, assignment costs and benefits.
  • Participate in benchmarking exercises and network with other mobility management experts in order to ensure policy competitiveness, best-practice solutions and remain informed about market norms and common practices.
  • Possibly lead one or a small team of Mobility Specialists

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience of working in an international company with matrix structures
  • High level of affinity to and experience with Business computing solutions, ideally with SAP-HR
  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office applications
  • Project Management experience
  • International mindset

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • MBA or Advanced degree or certificate (i.e. CEBS, CCP, etc.) an advantage
  • 6+ years’ experience in Human Resources, ideally with specialisation in International Mobility
  • Previous leadership experience
