Specialist Fulfillment Center Planning (4 months)

Planning the flow of goods from factories across the globe to our EDCs or delivery direct to our Key Accounts customers, whilst ensuring on time in full (OTIF) availability of products to our Wholesale and Direct to Consumer channels.

Implementing the right measures to guarantee a smooth and cost efficient inbound process and against regionally set priorities.

To provide the EDC Network with short and medium term outbound forecasts to enable strong operational planning, then drive activities to achieve plans, with the aim of supporting achievement of DC SLAs, Cost Targets and Europe Commercial expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the flow of goods at destination (in transit to receipt into the European distribution centers and forwarders Damco Bremen and ITG Munich)
  • Secure smooth collaboration with all colleagues and external parties on all interfaces
  • Work cross functionally across the supply chain to achieve on time in full availability of goods
  • Present in regular meetings with DC Operations and share availability projections, outlooks on inbound performance, priorities and expectations
  • Analyze Inbound forecasts in line with DC intake/inventory capacities, and be able to challenge and recommend solutions to manage peak months and critical situations
  • Manage special business processes (e.g. Never Out Of Stock, Launch Management etc.) with the order fulfillment view
  • Inform markets on supply or transportation issues impacting availability
  • Report on open POs in transit and prioritize for intake according to IPI, allocation coverage and distribution center capacity
  • Monitor intake lead time & quality and cleanse purchase orders in SAP
  • Ensure systems reflect correct information and that an accurate ATP picture is maintained at all times
  • Measure carrier quality and performance and provide feedback to Global Logistics and DC Operations teams
  • Participate in regional projects with the goal to represent the inbound planning requirements of European Order Fulfillment
  • Produce short-medium term (1-9 month) packing and shipping forecasts for the Europe EDCs aligned with WE RDP and IBP
  • Monitor the flow of delivery notes towards the EDC forecasts and drive actions to achieve forecast
  • Review the current month forecast for the EDC network on a regular basis and revise shipping expectations in a timely manner to enable EDCs to adjust operational plans
  • Support season start Game Plans (including prepack campaigns) to secure a successful start to each season
  • Act as key tester for all system release changes, keep test-scripts updated and document all processes & procedures in the Order Fulfillment Manual

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • In depth knowledge of supply chain mechanics
  • Process thinking
  • Experience of working with SAP MM and SD
  • Strong reporting & analytical skills
  • Operations as well as a cost-focused mindset
  • Good level of understanding of external transportation systems
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • Demonstrating initiative and acting result oriented
  • Strong and clear communication skills

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • College or university degree or equivalent, preferably with a focus in supply chain management; alternatively equivalent combination of education and related working experience in the field of Logistics, Footwear and/or Apparel
  • Minimum three years of work experience in supply chain management
  • Good SAP skills and 3rd Party applications
  • Competent user in Microsoft Office applications
  • Fluent in English (oral and in writing)
  • Preferably another European Language
