Senior Manager, Business Planning

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Lead and drive wholesales planning activities for both multi-brand and mono-brand channels/customers and support sales top management with better decision-making capabilities through proactive action-plans based on strategic data analysis that conveys an aligned strategy across both channels (WHS multi-brand & mono-brand)

Key Responsibilities:   

Planning:

  • Ensure integrated business planning in alignment with finance target (CCP, IBP, Pre-buy, SBP, OTB) by creating a holistic strategy that covers both multi-brand and mono-brand channels/customers
  • Develop internal monthly rolling forecast together with finance
  • Support Sales Coordination  Director to develop SBP & annual business plan in alignment with sales top management
  • Ensure quarterly sales target allocation in order to achieve yearly target
  • The aim is to maximize return on investment, align both global and local business objectives, and apply a consistent and harmonized global policy to shape and grow our future marketplace
  • Create a trade investment framework for both WHS multi-brand and mono-brand customers

Management

  • Manage the planning activities / processes to ensure high forecasting accuracy across both multi-brand and mono-brand channels/customers

Financial

  • Proactively communicate sales information as required by finance team
  • Support and provide input in sales simulations undertaken by finance

Systems and Processes

  • Ensure implementation of sales planning system and strive for its continuous improvement
  • Ensure execution of sales planning processes and improvement

Database Management

  • OTB planning: seasonal future order setting, tracking and sign-off
  • Order management: monthly additional order tracking, allocation

External Submissions

  • Consolidate and prepare RFC & Monthly IBP topline for wholesale across both multi-brand and mono-brand channels/customers
  • Ensure upload tool and maintain by channel/ fiscal half year/ product season/sub brand/ customer.

People Management

  • Manage 2 sales planning team members and create a systematic framework for each of the members to focus on their corresponding channel
  • Define performance goals for subordinates and provide regular coaching and feedback
  • Develop individual development & training plan

Key Relationships:

  • Wholesale, Demand Planning, Customer services, CtC, Finance, and etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Understanding of sporting goods industry and wholesale/retail math
  • Good database management skills
  • Conscientious in responsible job. Respect deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Good communication skills
  • Good at team work
  • Strong leadership skill

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • University degree or equivalent

Professional background / Experience

  • At least 8 years of working experience in sporting goods / clothing industry.
  • Sales planning / operation positions are preferred.

     IT skills

  • Good at analysis Microsoft office (Excel, Presentation)   
  • Strong PC skills
  • Knowledge to understand common planning system

Language skills

  • Fluent Korean / English
