GBS Order to Cash Team Leader (M /F)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The Order to Cash (O2C) Application Team Leader will lead an O2C Application team, monitor workload, set priorities and assist other team members to deliver continuous improvement initiatives. In this position he or she will provide ongoing support to the O2C Manager, drive strategic topics throughout the team and be the process expert on O2C Application topics. Her or his goal will be to ensure that all activities are delivered on timely manner and with the required quality. He or she will be leading projects, including process standardisation related as well as tools implementation ones.  The O2C Application Team Leader will act as the first escalation point for the process related issues both from the customer and the colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day to day leadership of an O2C Application team serving the customers, delivering performance that meets or exceeds service level agreement targets
  • Responsible for the Cash Application (bank transfer, cheques, bills of exchange posting) processes
  • Manage customer problem resolution and escalation
  • Drive continuous improvement in the O2C Application team by introducing Lean principles and developing team members
  • Lead ongoing projects for the implementation of technology solutions
  • Manage customer relationship, which includes problem resolution and root cause analysis
  • Manage the relationship and support requests from partner Finance departments and other stakeholders in the business
  • Supervise the quality and timeliness of the postings performed by the team
  • Act as the first escalation point for the process related issues
  • Identify the improvement opportunities and support their implementation
  • Lead the process and improvement focused projects for O2C Application
  • Support ongoing projects for the implementation of technology solutions
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls over the work performed
  • Acting as the backup for the manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Written and spoken English
  • Very good communication skills
  • Aptitude for managing and developing a team

  • Attention to details
  • Good Excel skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN methodology is a benefit

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

    • Experience in SAP
    • Experience in Cash Application activities  
    • Experience with process improvement and root cause analysis
    • Experience in an O2C leader role
    • Experience in leading teams
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience in SSC/BPO environment
    • BA degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
