Marketing Operations Manager (13 months contract)

To drive business excellence and lead the end to end processes behind data and systems to achieve brand goals.  Key stakeholder and influencer of process & system development, segmentation execution, forecasting deadlines, and reporting standards and integration of data.  Provide infrastructure, mindset and capabilities to implement global and market specific sell in tools that allow CTC and Category teams to focus on their tasks in a consistent and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities (Functional):  

  • Responsible for RAD – Implementation, Training, Maintenance and Enhancement for the Canadian market.
  • Ownership of WRAP - Implementation, Training, Maintenance and Enhancement for the Canadian market.
  • Work closely with the NAM Marketing Operations-Systems & Tools Team to ensure alignment between U.S and Canadian brand teams.
  • Coordinate and Implement change management for sell-in systems and processes. Act as a liaison between end users and the systems and processes.

  • Work through setup requests in adiRMA inbox (new set up, forecast updates, hard launch updates).
  • Report RMA issues to RMA IT via aspen ticket; work with RMA IT to help trouble shoot.
  • Evaluate the product forecasts against the customer forecasts provided by the sales team and follow up as necessary to address/reduce variances.
  • Manage all aspects of the RAD forecast milestones.
  • Work with DP and BU on verification/activation of RDP to ensure accuracy within the purchase.
  • Act as the point person for the implementation/market requirements of the RMA system in Canada.
  • Formulate and continuously evaluate forecasting and planning models which meet the business needs of the adidas brand.
  • Represent the needs of the Merchandising Team in cross functional meetings.
  • Manage all aspects of RMA Market Admin duties by ensuring all background seasonal table values are up to date in RMA to allow ranging for the adidas brand.
  • Point of contact to create tickets & work directly with RMA IT in PDX & HZO on all issues involving RMA system.
  • Participate in bi-monthly ‘Ranging/Planning GTM Market’ calls with RMA IT, HZO Business Support & Global Market Admins to communicate any market specific needs/issues and discuss upcoming system releases.  
  • Participate in all scheduled User Acceptance Testing on global systems (RMA, DMT, MARVIN) systems and report all issues back to Global IT & Business Support in HZO.
  • Manage all aspects of RMA ranging, article updating “cleansing”, forecasting, flow to AFS.  Work with GDM on all article issues monitor for resolution in SPM system.
  • Manage all Carry-Forward requests in RMA system as requested by CM’s and approved by Finance department (approval process TBD).
  • Manage all aspects of NAC (Non-PLM Article Creation) article set up & maintenance. 
  • Point of contact on all seasonality issues post AFS go-live.
  • Work with Retail & eComm departments to rectify all set up issues in Retail PGR system and on eComm AFS issues.
  • Work with Finance to ensure last exchange rate is used each season. 
  • Work with Logistics department to ensure latest Duty & Freight rates are used each season.
  • Point of contact for Finance questions regarding costing components for internal/external audit requirements.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Superior analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
  • A systems specialist with an operational mind set
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly Excel
  • Excellent command of English language and excellent written and oral communication skills and proven people management.
  • Comfortable working with large sets of data, data validation, management of cross functional departments.  Data flow validation.
  • Someone who is a leader in proprietary systems

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:  

  • College or University degree in business/finance/operations
  • 3-5 years business/related experience preferred
