Manufacturing Equipment Technician

Purpose: The Manufacturing equipment technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to accomplish preventitive maintenance, report and document in the interest of maintaining production equipment to the highest standard in accordance to  safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.<


Responsibilities: < <

Perform highly diversified duties focused on preventive maintenance for production machines and equipment. < Collaborate with the maintenance team so that repairs of production equipment that were found during preventive, predictive maintenance inspections are performed. < Communicate and share PM logs, equipment conditions, schedule of PM, need for repairs and documentation/reporting between manufacturing and maintenance departments.< Perform preventive and predictive maintenance in accordance with eqt manufacturer specifications and the company safety policies and procedures and integrate these PMs into the daily manufacturing schedule.< Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, basic electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.< Read and interpret equipment manuals, work orders, machine and process drawings to perform required maintenance and service.< Diagnose equipment problems, coordinate with maintenance team to replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.< Measure improvements resulting from TPM initiatives including but not limited to OEE, MTBF and MTTR and collaborate with Engineering department to track and report these.< Coordinate and collaborate with external and facility maintenance team to order spare parts and maintain inventory records.< Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.< Report defective equipment and any unusual situations to proper supervision< Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas, participate in continuous improvement programs (Kaizen, Lean manufacturing etc)< Additional tasks as provided by Management

     < Knowledge And Skills: < <

  • Knowledge of embellishment equipment (Preferred SP equipment)including but not limited to; screenprint, embroidery, heat transfer, and prepress<
  • Willingness for flexible working hours and call services<
  • Good knowledge of the application of MS Office products<
  • Lift 60 lbs. from floor, bend, twist, climb, crawl and able to work at heights< <

     < Needed training and experience/minimum requirement: < <

  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment in maintenance field for atleast 1 year<
  • GED / High Schol Diploma / Associates Degree / Trade School<
  • TPM, 5S, SMED principles<
  • Work experience in optimizing production processes preferred <
