Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Support development of the divisional sourcing and allocation strategy
  • Drive implementation and seasonal execution of sourcing strategy
  • Ensure adidas Group A&G product needs are supplied and availability targets met
  • Ensure balanced allocation to maintain healthy supplier fillrates
  • Create transparency about historic and projected source volumes

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare global A&G marketing and customer forecast data, create comprehensive summaries and communicate them to the main stakeholders (cross-functional)
  • Facilitate production planning process
    • Analyze data and prepare proposals for balancing in cooperation with Sourcing and Development stakeholders
    • Identify need for and initiate production transfers and dual sourcing
    • Facilitate the transfer process and assume responsibility as A&G key user for PTP system
    • Analyze and report on planning data from initial projections to finalized orders
  • Support development allocation process and capacity planning
  • Drive improvements in availability key metrics (PDP, MDP, DOL, etc.)
  • Build strong relationships with Global Supply Planning and LO Sourcing Planning community

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to process data to any level of granularity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Achieve goals in a complex environment
  • Good knowledge of standard Software applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Good understanding of sporting goods and related industries
  • Understanding of supply chain processes
  • Fluency in English, knowledge of another language an advantage.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University or college degree
  • 3-5 years working experience in the sporting goods industry
  • Project management and/or planning experience of advantage
