Manager Financial Planning & Analysis

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Lead the business analysis & planning, be heavily involved in the strategic direction and provide accurate & timely information and solution across all brands  (i.e. adidas and Reebok) & channels as a strategic business partner. Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve one committed plan, linked to the market mission and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Focus

  • Specific categories & all channels (Multiple Key Categories)
  • Volume and Value (Gross sales to Std. Margin) , profit maximization and supply & demand optimization
  • Sell through status at stores

Reporting / Analysis / Suggestion / Providing insight

  • Evolve data & reporting foundation to provide measurement and insight for better decision making
  • Find problems and suggest solutions based on analysis
  • Collaborate with Global / APAC Finance and provide necessary information

Planning / Controlling 

  • Drive process to develop financial plans and KPI / Target cooperating with business partners
  • Especially, IBP(Integrated Business Planning) and disaggregated plans down to category /article / SKU level
  • Monitor consistency between plans and strategies (company strategy / budget /plan / forecast)
  • Improve forecasting accuracy, identify gaps and facilitate its closing to achieve the target

Developing and Leading process

  • Drive and monitor business process within the assigned area, and improve it as needed
  • Especially monthly demand planning process and PDCA cycle of budget/Forecast (Rolling Forecast and IBP: IntegratedBusiness Planning) / actual

Alignment 

  • In the activity written above, communicate to convince counterparts within and outside of the organization
  • Coordinnate consensus between Channel and Marketing
  • Communicate with Supply Chain Management
  • In line with strategy / guideline / policy of Global / APAC

Operation

  • Steadily and independently excecute daily operetions following established procedures & processes based on existing standard/policy/strategy toward defined target
  • Monitor daily operation of the team, analize problems and provide solutions

Team Management

  • If applicable, set clear target and role and responsibility for team members, and be accountable for performance reviews and responsible for development of personnel

Key Relationships:

  • Market Supply Chain VP / Directors and their direct reports
  • Market Channel VP / Directors and their direct reports
  • Market Marketing VP / Directors and their direct reports
  • Finance Teams in Global/APAC

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Fluent in Japanese and English (spoken & written)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University graduate
  • Minimum 5 years work experience
  • Minimum 3 years finance and/or demand planning experience
  • Preferable experience in the sport or clothing industry
  • Preferable experience successfully leading and managing a team
