Manager Demand Planning EKA

Purpose and Relevance for the organization:

This role is responsible for managing the EKA Demand Planning process for UK EKA’s, plus Decathlon.

Your task as a Manager Demand Planning EKA is to lead, develop and guarantee the best possible performance of your team. In addition, you are responsible for creating the European Key Account Demand Plan and Integrated Business Plan (IBP) for each EKA. The Demand Plan is the basis for Purchasing and significantly influences the inventory management/stock turn. The IBP provides the Europe financial forecasting status.

You will also take a lead role in the coordination of the overall EKA IBP process, ensuring deadlines are met and forecasts are provided with clarity.

Responsibilities:

Personnel Management of Direct Reports

  • Establish a high-performance culture via the communication of clear expectations and targets
  • Develop the functional and social competencies of all employees
  • Evaluate the performance and competencies of your employees within the given #MYBEST appraisal framework
  • Introduce a feedback culture and ensure that the Leadership Framework principles are followed throughout the department
  • Manage talents within your team to develop their competencies and managing skills to grow within the DP department
  • Responsible for a frictionless collaboration within the team and all other key contacts
  • Adhere to the responsibility towards the employee (e.g. Online Time, etc.)
  • Ensure adherence to all employee-relevant adidas guidelines and all legal obligations

Demand Planning

  • Responsible for overseeing the Rolling Demand Plan (RDP) for defined UK EKA’s, plus Decathlon, on article level for EKA based on EKA Sales and Marketing input
  • Ensure pre-rder business
  • Balance the prduct availability for the re-order period
  • Monthly distribution of the RDP reflecting account demand
  • Size curves maintenance
  • Allcations are facilitated
  • Ensure the observance of local and global timelines and deadlines
  • Drive the focus on forecast accuracy with cross-function departments (Marketing, EKA Sales, Product Supply and Market Operations & Optimization) and ensure the implications of inaccuracy are understood
  • Observe accounts forecast changes, opportunities and risks
  • Work with the Product Supply team to ensure the EKA demand is clear and ensure the correct level of inventory is secured
  • Support the operational Speed processes and reporting for WE, plus evolve the processes in-line with system developments

IBP

  • Support the IBP forecasting process for all 7 EKA’s for adidas and Reebok
  • Ensure the process is understood for the UK EKA’s by CTC, Sales and Demand Planning and followed to produce a monthly forecast covering 2 years / 4 seasons including all required input
  • Propose improvements to the process to be as efficient as possible across all teams – Sales, CTC, Finance and Demand Planning and manage the timelines to deliver the monthly drum beat
  • Control the monthly cycle and influence the teams where necessary to produce a considered forecast with required commentary, including risk & opps
  • Manage the monthly UK EKA plus Decathlon IBP Meetings with Sales Directors and their teams to review the latest forecasts and ensure full understanding around movements and assumptions
  • Drive the team to bridge the IBP and RDP in a way that is reconciled and fully explained
  • Work with the FP&A team to ensure the IBP process is working E2E and the forecasts are aligned and understood

  • Fluent in English and another European language in writing and speaking

Educational Background/ Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor degree or similar or equivalent relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of work experience in demand planning, finance or a similar field
  • Experience in the sporting goods industry preferred
