Manager, Channel/Store Development

Purpose / Mission:

To drive profitable and sustainable market share growth within assigned major distribution chains, while respecting the image of the adidas Group brands

Key tasks: (to be performed in alignment with global guidelines)

Functional:

  • To independently  identify all channels opportunities and partners jointly with sales team member
  • To ensure to represent the assigned account (s) internally as an ambassador towards all functions and vice versa and manage all interfaces with minimum supervision
  • To manage the set-up and the implementation of channel store development activities  by collaborating as well as coordinating all involved functions
  • To assess and advise how to improve performance of mono brand stores by providing solutions
  • To monitor and report on customers and provide realistic plans & forecasts on customer performance
  • To monitor all reports and competitors activities and propose/initiate/take actions
  • To ensure customer compliance with agreements.    
  • To ensure negotiation with major distribution chain and channel management.
  • To ensure development of channel management and new business.
  • To negotiate and enforce adidas Group trade terms

Controlling:

  • To measure progress on own KPIs

KPIs:

  • Budget compliance
  • Newly acquired RSM sqm\
  • Sign off package
  • Sales per sqm
  • Profits per sqm

Educational background:

  • University degree in business with Sales / Marketing focus
  • Understanding of Retail

Professional background:

  • Functional: > 6 years Sales and/or Retail
  • Industry: ideally in apparel/fashion/shoes or FMCG
  • Leadership: none
  • Exposure: sports
