Manager, Business Planning (Monobrand)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Drive wholesales planning activities and assist the Business Planning Senior Manager and Sales Coordination Director in supporting the sales top management with better decision-making capabilities based on strategic data analysis of mono-brand channel/customers

Key Responsibilities:   

Planning:

  • Develop integrated business planning in alignment with finance target for mono-brand channel/customers (CCP, IBP, Pre-buy, Final-buy, SBP, OTB)
  • Assist the Business Planning Senior Manager in developing  internal monthly rolling forecast together with finance
  • Support the Business Planning Senior Manager and Sales Coordination Director in developing SBP & annual business plan based on thorough data analysis of mono-brand channel/customers
  • Develop quarterly sales target allocation to achieve yearly target for mono-brand channel/customers
  • Implement trade investment framework for mono-brand channel

Management

  • Support the Business Planning Senior Manager in managing planning activities / processes and ensure high forecasting accuracy in mono-brand channel

Financial

  • Provide sales information as required by finance team
  • Support finance team in making various sales simulations with data analysis on mono-brand channel/customers

Systems and Processes

  • Lead implementation of sales planning system and drive for continuous improvement
  • Lead execution of sales planning processes and seek ways for further improvement

Database Management

  • OTB master file: seasonal future order setting, tracking and sign-off
  • Order management: monthly additional order tracking, allocation
  • Database maintenance: actual and rolling forecast for mono-brand channel/customers

External Submissions

  • RFC & Monthly IBP topline preparation for mono-brand
  • IP(Integrated-Planning) tool upload: Create upload tool and maintain by channel/ fiscal half year/ product season/sub brand/ customer

Others

  • Monthly report running.
  • Support ad hoc projects & meeting presentations
  • Support  sales budgeting and target management
  • Other job-related tasks assigned by Sales Coordination Director
  • Support SLT projects & operation of SLT meetings

Key Relationships:

  • Wholesale (mono-brand), Demand Planning, Customer services, CtC, Finance, and etc

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Profound understanding of sporting goods industry and wholesale/retail math
  • Good database management skills
  • Conscientious in responsible job. Respect deadlines
  • Willingness to learn new things
  • Good communication skills
  • Good at team work

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

Education

  • University degree or equivalent

Professional background / Experience

  • At least 5 years of working experience in sporting goods / clothing industry.
  • Sales planning / operation positions are preferred.

IT skills

  • Good at Microsoft office (Excel, Presentation)   
  • Strong PC skills
  • Knowledge to understand common planning system

Language skills

  • Fluent Korean / English
