Director Employee Concepts (m/f/d)

The director employee concepts is responsible to support our company strategy by leveraging our workplaces to create a high performance culture. Specifically, this role will translate strategic direction into tangible, employee-centric concepts that will be applied to the workplace / our working environments – at global scale. This role will be central in shaping the future of our workplaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key leaders to understand our company direction, our people direction, and how the workplace can be leveraged to support this direction
  • Obtain necessary employee insights in order to bring the “voice of the employee” into all decision making around our workplaces & working environments
  • Create and maintain a network within the workplace industry in order to keep informed on key trends; attend relevant conferences & industry events
  • Create workplace concepts, e.g. fostering creativity & collaboration within the office environment, health & wellbeing at the workplace, employee journey mapping and our communications approach
  • Work with, and manage, agencies in creating these workplace concepts
  • Partner with the respective teams to bring concepts to life and ensure that they are scalable and sustainable; connect with operations teams to validate the practical realities of the concept
  • Where required, partner with the respective teams to establish new processes / operations which may be required to scale & sustain a new concept
  • Serve as a key communication & change agent, within GWP but also within the company as a whole, to drive an employee-centric mindset
  • Constantly seek to improve the adidas future workplace concept through internal and external research opportunities and experience exchange
  • Significantly contribute to the achievement of the whole department strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Passion for sports
  • High degree of consumer (employee) orientation
  • Team player mindset; collaborative
  • University degree (or equivalent), preferably in marketing & communication, or human resources
  • 10-12 years’ experience, preferably working for global players in the sporting goods industry – either within marketing, consumer experience, HR or workplaces
  • Business fluency in English (written and spoken); German skills a plus
  • Creative mindset and ability to visualize ideas
  • Very strong communication expertise, both written and verbal; ability to communicate and influence at the executive-level
  • Ability to lead and accomplish tasks through influence
  • Ability to maneuver in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to operate cross-functionally and understanding of external business drivers
  • Thorough understanding of the complexity, interactions and dynamics within an international company
  • Proven track record for implementing complex, multi-cultural, cross functional (workplace related) projects
