Senior Director Concept-to-Consumer Emerging Markets

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • Responsible for creating the most efficient EM (Emerging Markets) Omni channel range framework and work closely with the EM BU teams to populate and deploy key Brand concepts within it.
  • To lead the CTC Merchandising process (seasonal cycle) throughout the entire Market including Merchandising strategy and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy concepts-to-consumer concepts (plan concept merchandising and allocation cross-channel, by account, city and key doors to optimize consumer impact and range efficiency                                   
  • Lead the development of a One EM range architecture, ensuring an optimal number of articles by distribution segment are offered, while maximizing overlap of the range between countries to offer a more efficient range in EM                         
  • Lead development of ONE EM pricing framework including pricing corridor framework and control adherence to this framework to maximize standard margins  
  • Align country teams behind the ONE EM ranging strategy to ensure quality range architecture input by country teams               
  • Create a segmented range by quarter, supporting the quarterly sell-in strategy by dividing the EM range by quarterly Retail Intro dates to fully maximize customers open-to-buy budgets, maximize full price sell through and be closer to consumers                               
  • Develop team members to fuel the adidas CTC and merchandising team´s succession plans.

  • Brand Health KPIS (Brand momentum, Net Promoter Score, Spontaneous purchase intent, etc.)

  • Market Direct Brand Contribution vs Plan
  • Process KPIs (timing, % of shared services/tools, etc.)
  • Project KPIs (respect timing, qualitative contribution, etc.)
  • Market Sales vs Plan
  • Range size and efficiency (incl. overlap)
  • SMU / Exclusives efficiencies     

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Extensive (12+ years) Marketing experience, with a distinct track record of success and high-level Merchandising and retail space management knowledge
  • Leading and managing a diverse team (incl. remote management / 5+ years’ experience)
  • Strong presentation/communications and influencing skills
  • Marketing budget management
  • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products
  • Experience in both market and above market organization preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Retail Ranging processes and systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Structured, organised and process orientated  Leadership
  • Leads and develops high performance teams
  • Support and secure a high-performance culture through communication of clear expectations and individual target setting
  • To plan and host timely team meetings in key cities + regular travel to Markets.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business and/or a minimum of 10-15 years equivalent professional experience, ideally in Sales and/or Marketing
  • Fluent in English
