Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This position is designed to drive optimized sales and profits for the Company and Retailers by applying standard retail sales & inventory management principles, focusing energy against the entire selling cycle - financial planning, seasonal product sell in, in season business / consumer information analysis and product distribution – recommending action steps and influencing key processes in each phase needed to maximize sales results. This role will be focused against customers identified within the Win With The Winners strategy.
Support the Business Planning Process including customer collaboration
Support an integrated planning process which feeds key business players with timely, accurate assessments of the business, progress against key corporate goals, and ultimately drives in-market action that achieves and optimizes our business plans.
Work with customers business planners to align plans across all planning periods and methods: strategic, seasonal, annual – top-down and bottoms-up, including franchise strategy.
Insure alignment between sales management and business planners for the efficient execution of monthly/quarterly/seasonal wholesale shipping and retail sell through plans by gender, category, and door, with collaborated input from sales, marketing/merchandising and finance teams.
Facilitate communication of final plans and key insights/plan updates to all involved parties through timely, actionable reporting and drive more effective action in market.
In conjunction with the Business Planning team, work on strategic projects that will improve the overall execution of department objectives and help us achieve long-term goals for the US marketplace from a distribution perspective. This work will be done in conjunction with designated sales (and other groups as needed) leadership to insure alignment.
Continually (re)position the business planning function so that retail and wholesale planning are aligned and business planning and decision-making becomes a core competency of the US sales team.
Work with business planning team to develop skills and abilities that will continue to move the business planning process forward at Reebok.
Leverage each planner’s individual capabilities through special projects, events, infrastructure, process, etc., to maximize team effort and execution.
Provide leadership and consultation for planners through sharing of best practice techniques and mentoring.
Develop a high performing team under the company’s principles and objectives. Create environment which enables team members to perform, leading by example and driving employee engagement.
Manage all reports and resources as an integrated team by setting team objectives, targets and guidelines to coach, motivate and develop.
Focus on building links between planners and rest of broader sales team (include VPs, merchandisers, and sales reps).
Continuously evaluate systems in place and drive an information infrastructure that supports the process.
Drive consistent, timely analysis of retail sales data for the purpose of creating action plans needed to positively influence Reebok’s business in the short and long term.
Provide key reporting at a strategic-level against key partners and channels for sales and senior management that creates meaningful insight into and update against the US business.
Insure that the business planning reports sell-thru results monthly versus account plan and last year for sales and inventory at our major accounts.
Support, manage and drive the business planning process on a monthly basis for a specific, identified channel.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Business, Merchandising or Marketing
“Open to Buy” Sales & Inventory planning Experience
10+ years of experience in buying, planning, allocation or vendor sales for a multi-store retailer
Experience in managing and leading a team through leadership competencies
Athletic industry specific experience strongly preferred
Advanced excel skills required
