Assistant Manager Tooling - Reebok Innovation

Purpose/Key Responsibilities: (Mission of job/General area of responsibility)

  • Drive the development of all tooling required to complete the Innovation-Running projects in collaboration with the development/tooling teams from Tier 1 Factory. Responsibilities include: overseeing the creation of 2D/3D files based on information received from US, transfer of information generated in FE to Performance-Innovation development team in USA, creation of tooling charts and verification of costing information provided by T2 vendors
  • Assist the Director Advanced Development & Technology Management, Commercialization Manager and Product Engineer in the commercialization of all molded components required for Performance-Innovation projects in collaboration with the Tier 1 factory development and technical teams.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Product:

  • Manage the creation and delivery of the tooling for all Performance-Innovation molded components from concept through to production.
  • Support the Performance-Innovation Commercialization Manger in all aspects of the commercialization and production phases in the factory. Including raw materials, sub-assembled parts, QC testing apparatus and final components.
  • Ensure the on-time delivery of production tooling by working closely with the Performance-Innovation Commercialization Manger and Product Engineer.
  • Provide mold tracking reports that are updated and can be utilized as a project management tool locally and for Performance-Innovation team in USA
  • Responsible to track all concept and production mold costs then send to Performance-Innovation team in USA for review on a quarterly basis.

Operations:

  • Communicate across all levels of the organization as needed: ensure the Director Advanced Development & Technology Management and/or Commercialization Manager are receiving appropriate tooling related information in a timely manner so that decisions can be made.
  • Understand and implement all Adidas/Reebok policies pertaining to the confidentiality of the tooling required for the Performance-Innovation projects. Use good judgment on when to be principle centered vs. policy driven.
  • Drive vendor relationships daily, including regular (scheduled and un-scheduled) visits to all manufacturing facilities.

Requisite Education/Experience:

  • Drive vendor relationships daily, including regular (scheduled and un-scheduled) visits to all manufacturing facilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A recent graduate or up to three years working in a technical capacity.
