Assistant Manager Accounting (3 months)

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:<

 <

To be responsible for accounting activities including but not limited to accounts receivable (AR), month-end closing, accounts reconciliation, credit monitoring and control<

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable and Credit Management:

  • Maintenance of customer sales data including ship to address
  • Timely issuance of manual credit and debit notes
  • Processing of customer incoming invoices<
  • Support in export certification <
  • Preparation of cash receipt via cheque including posted dated cheque<
  • Preparation of documentation for bill of exchange<
  • Manage order blocked in AFS system<
  • Annual set up and review of customer credit limit<
  • Monitor customer accounts and credit limits<
  • Prepare dunning letter in the pre-determined timeline, if necessary<
  • Chair monthly credit management meeting with sales teams <
  • Account reconciliation for major customers – follow up o/s amounts and clear o/s items<
  • Credit insurance management & reporting with agents< <

    General Ledger:< <

  • Provide various provision and required accruals at month end to GBS team<
  • Provide information of reclassification of expenses or cost centre to GBS team<
  • Inform and ensure local operation team perform the inventory adjustments advised by GBS team<
  • Prepare quarterly recharge via manual debit note to all intercompany, including MSA< < <
  • Support in resolving adhoc issues from customers and business regarding settlement and credit notes<
  • Observation of stock take in retail store and preparation of variance reports<
  • Support in year end audit with external auditors<
  • Handle ad-hoc financial/accounting assignments inclduing scanning and archving of accounting documents< <

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent   <
  • Minimum 4 years of related work experience, preferably in retail/ FMCG industry<
  • Proficient with Navision and SAP<
  • Excellent in MS Office including EXCEL  <
  • Ability to complete task while functioning in a stressful environment<
  • Independent, responsible and attentive to details< <
