adidas in China
As a leading sporting goods company in the world, adidas established its wholly-owned China subsidiary, adidas Sports (China) Ltd, in Suzhou in 1997.
Over the past 18 years, the increasing affluence of Chinese consumers, combined with the sport and fashion consciousness of Chinese youths, has seen adidas make giant strides in China. Through the company's relentless investment and unwavering commitment, China has become the companys second largest market worldwide. In 2014, adidas Greater China generated sales of 1.8 billion euros.
Today, adidas China is headquartered in Shanghai and has regional offices in Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu as well as two distribution centers, in Suzhou and Tianjin. In Greater China, adidas employs over 3,000 people.

Best Place to Work
Our Shanghai office is located on the top floors of Tower One, of the Shanghai ICC on Huaihai Road, a shopping, dining and entertainment hub in the heart of Shanghai that is well connected with every corner of the city by modern transport systems. As the newest and coolest commercial complex in the city, the Shanghai ICC boasts two office towers and a shopping mall filled with fashion stores, eateries, pubs and a cinema.
As the Greater China headquarters, our new Shanghai office takes up 17,485 square meters across seven floors and features spacious conference rooms and new recreational spaces, enabling staff to work more closely together. At the Shanghai office, there is also a health center that provides medical consultation, emergency treatment and preventive care on a walk-in basis.
Build a Better World
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) has become a key pillar of our sustainable growth strategy in China. adidas China strives to make a difference in the communities where it operates by supporting programs that truly meet local needs; embedding environmental sustainability in all products, processes and services; managing risks and social compliance; extending engagement internally and externally; and creating the best and most productive workplace.
To better manage our CSR performance, we have goals in two key impact areas: 1) environment and 2) social community investment. The environment KPIs include energy saving, carbon saving, water saving, municipal waste reduction and paper saving. For community investment targets, we have our own China goals that include both external goals (social impact) and internal goals (employee participation and motivation).
