Purpose:

Driving brand experience:

Driving store profitability:

  • Meeting or exceeding store sales and profit targets

  • Managing all resources within the store to provide consumers with a leading shopping experience

  • Driving the proper execution of established policies, procedures, initiatives and directives

Key Accountabilities:

Brand Desire:

Act as brand ambassador and partner within local community to promote brand and store awareness

Communicate and live brand values and provide guidance and direction to the Store Management Team to manage the execution of events, activations and store processes that support these values

Consumer Experience:

Coach and inspire the Flagship Store Team to live the adidas consumer service model

Lead a team that delivers exceptional consumer experience tailored to the Brand Flagship through ensuring outstanding execution of the global service model and the brand and retail operational standards

Strategic Collaboration:

  • Build a collaborative working relationship with both the global and the Market organizations

  • Provide input and feedback to Line Manager and various Market and Global Teams to enable continuous improvement and achievement of the Brand Flagship ambition in the store, and globally in the adidas Group

  • Understand the concept and strategic importance of the Brand Flagship store and think broadly for the Group when setting the direction

Operational Excellence and Store Profitability:

  • Manage the P&L  for the Brand Flagship store and ensure financial targets and Brand Flagship KPIs are achieved

  • Develop and lead the execution of a visionary, well thought-out business plan that drives brand experience and store profitability

  • Produce results under a variety of situations/market conditions and overcomes barriers to the company’s success in compliance with corporate guidelines

  • Ensure consistent implementation of all global programs, initiatives and strategies within the Brand Flagship

People Leadership:

  • Foster a positive culture and enable the Store Management Team to create a consumer centered, passionate and authentic atmosphere

  • Partner with Store Management Team to hire, develop and build a high performing team, leveraging global and local tools to lead all performance management, succession planning, recruiting, hiring and development activities

  • Promote a high performance culture by acting as role model, setting clear expectations, holding employees accountable, creating an effective and efficient work environment, and setting goals for the Team that ensures focus on key drivers that impact Brand Flagship success

  • Take clear accountability for training and execution in store in all areas, including business, operations, sales/customer service, and visual merchandising, while also coordinating with regional trainer to ensure all employees are trained in Retail Standards

  • Ensure timely completion of all recordkeeping associated with applicants, new hires, payroll, performance appraisals, salary reviews, counselling, disciplinary actions and terminations

  • Technical proficiency with MS applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other computer software (Internet, POS Systems, etc.)

Qualifications (Minimum required education and experience):

  • Demonstrated business management skills; P&L ownership (min $10m), or Franchise business leader, or comparable business operations experience

  • 5-7 years of fashion retail management experience with a leading global brand

  • Leadership role in a branded organization (creating a brand experience)

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant market experience

  • Successful leadership of a team (80 people +)

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Ability to work for long periods of time, typically 10-12 hours per day during peak seasonal periods.
